Install Mongol Empire

Read these steps before you download. Setup takes about five minutes.

Before you start

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (x64). Mac, Linux, 32-bit and ARM are not supported.
About 1 GB of free disk space. 8 GB of RAM or more is recommended.
Desktop Google Chrome. Edge and other Chromium browsers don't work. The app offers to install Chrome for you on first run.
Your license key, from your order email or your account.

Your key locks to the PC you activate it on. One key works on up to 2 PCs. A third PC is refused.
Don't share your key. It won't work on someone else's PC once your two are used, and sharing breaks the terms.
To move to a new PC after using both, contact support to free a slot.
Keep the default install location, and don't block the app's internet access. It checks your license and pulls updates online.

Downloads are for members. Sign in with the Discord account you bought with, then come back to this step.

Open MongolEmpire-stable-Setup.exe. No administrator rights are needed.
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. The installer is code-signed, but Windows is careful with new apps.
Follow the wizard: Welcome, accept the license, wait for Installing (1 to 2 minutes), then Finish.

Open Mongol Empire from the Start menu or your desktop.
Paste your license key when asked. This activates it on this PC.
If Chrome isn't installed, the app offers to install it. If that doesn't work, install desktop Google Chrome yourself, then reopen the app.

Updates are automatic. The app checks for a new version each time it starts.

"Windows protected your PC": click More info, then Run anyway.
Antivirus or Defender blocks it: allow Mongol Empire in your antivirus. It starts Chrome through a local proxy, which some antivirus tools flag.
"License invalid or expired": check you pasted the whole key and that your PC's date and time are correct. Keys last 30 days.
"Device limit reached": the key is already active on 2 PCs. Contact support.
Chrome didn't install: install desktop Google Chrome yourself, then reopen the app.
